Vanguard is formulated with only top-performing NTEP cultivars from four different species: Navigator III Creeping Red Fescue, Radar II Chewings Fescue, Beacon II Hard Fescue, and Seamist Slender Creeping Red Fescue. We’ve curated the optimal fine fescue blend with four pillars in mind; diverse disease resistance, shade tolerance, turf quality and performance in both low and high maintenance regimes. An added bonus is the built-in salt tolerance exhibited by Seamist Slender Creeping Red Fescue! The diversity of the four fine fescue species bring strength and balance suitable for multiple applications.
